Professor Vanderhooft and his team of researchers at the University of Utah performed extensive testing on HyStem to evaluate rheological properties of crosslinked thiolated hyaluronic acid hydrogels. 

By modifying the concentration of thiolated hyaluronic acid, thiolated gelatin, and extralink crosslinker, they were able to achieve a broad range of gel stiffness from 23 Pa - 3500 Pa (G').
