PureCol Type I Collagen was used to coat slides for seeding colorectal cancer cells.
The cells were exposed to the direct-current electrical field, where migration was then analyzed.
Article Conclusion:
"We conclude that colorectal cancer cells are capable of galvanotactic migration. The directional migration was dependent on calcium influx and activation of central signaling pathways of colorectal cancer."
