Publication Title:
Novel Bioprinted 3D Model to Human Fibrosis Investigation
Advanced BioMatrix Products Used:
Lifeink® 200 35 mg/ml type I Collagen Bioink
How the products were used:
Fibroblasts were printed with Lifeink 200 and then stimulated by TGFB, differentiating them into myofibroblasts with enhanced contractile activity.
The above image is a fibrotic nodule observed by SEM microscopy on the Lifeink® bioprinted structure.
Special thanks to the TPM team for the image.
Article Conclusion:
Overall, these findings demonstrate that it is possible to generate a reproducible and functional 3D platform to mimic fibrosis as key tool for drug discovery and impacting on animal experimentation and reducing costs and time in addressing fibrosis.
