PhotoGel and LAP Dose Study

PhotoGel and LAP Dose Study

03/21/24

Advanced BioMatrix aims to provide customers and researchers with as much data and information as possible on our products.

Tunability of 3D hydrogels is key for optimizing cellular environments, improving 3D bioprinting resolution, and replicating in vivo tissue models.

The following experiment was conducted to determine the viscoelastic behavior of PhotoGel®-50% degree of methacrylation (methacrylated gelatin) mixed with increasing LAP photoinitiator concentrations.

The viscoelastic graphs of the 10% concentration of methacrylated gelatin, combined with 0.01%, 0.034%, 0.1%, 0.25%, 0.5% and 1% LAP can be seen below. Changes in concentration can lead to significant changes in hydrogel stiffness and rate of crosslinking.

For the full testing results, conclusions, testing parameters, photoinitiator information, equipment used, and concentrations, you can Download the full white paper here.
