PhotoHA-Stiff Crosslinking Study

The following experiment was conducted to determine the viscoelastic behavior of PhotoHA®-Stiff (our methacrylated hyaluronic acid) during photocrosslinking at HA concentrations of 1% and 2%, all other parameters remaining equal.
(For reference, our PhotoHA®-Soft is a glycidyl methacrylate hyaluronic acid).
The viscoelastic graphs of PhotoHA® at 1% and 2% can be seen in Figure 1. While both graphs show similar gelation trends, the final stiffness of the 2% concentration is ~ 4x the stiffness of the 1% concentration. The maximum stiffnesses for all 4 graphs (each concentration run in duplicate) can be seen in Table 1.
