Publication Title:

T Cell Polarization and NFAT Translocation are Stiffness-Dependent and are Differentially Regulated by Piezol and Orail

Advanced BioMatrix Products Used:

CytoSoft® PDMS Soft Substrate Plates

CytoSoft eBrochure

How the products were used:

CytoSoft® Plates (soft substrate 6-well plates with a thin layer of PDMS of a specific stiffness, including 0.2, 0.5, 2, 8, 16, 32 and 64 kPa) were used to evaluate the affect of matrix stiffness on T cell response against tumor cells.

Article Conclusions:

"Our results demonstrate that tumor cell stiffness directly influences T cell functionality through distinct Ca2+ influx pathways, revealing cell softening as an essential mechanism employed by malignant cells to evade immune surveillance."
