Publication Title:
TNAP is a Novel Regulator of Cardiac Fibrosis After Myocardial Infarction by Mediating TGF-B/Smads and ERK1/2 Signaling Pathways.
Advanced BioMatrix Products Used:
CytoSoft® PDMS Soft Substrate Plates
How the products were used:
CytoSoft® Plates (6-well plates with a thin layer of PDMS of a specific stiffness, including 0.2, 0.5, 2, 8, 16, 32 and 64 kPa) with the stiffness of 8 kPa were used to culture Cardiac Fibroblasts (CF's). The CF's were used to evaluate cardiac remodeling and heart failure after myocardial infarction.
Article Conclusion:
Based on these findings, TNAP plays an important pro-fibrotic role in cardiac fibrosis after MI by activating TGF-β/Smads and ERK1/2 signaling, indicating that it functions as a potential regulator of and therapeutic target in cardiac fibrosis.
