TeloCol-3 Gelation at Different Temperatures

TeloCol-3 Gelation at Different Temperatures

06/22/21

TeloCol 3 type I telocollagen from bovine hide (3 mg/ml) was polymerized at 20, 22, 25, 30 and 37C. The resulting gelation kinetics were graphed, demonstrating a decrease in gelation speed corresponding with lower temperatures. The full experimental design and results of the tests are published here.

The data below shows that decrease in gelation temperature leads to a significant decrease in gelation speed of type I telocollagen.

Green = 37C. Light Blue = 30C. Grey = 25C Red = 22C. Blue and Orange = 20C.
