How the products were used:

CytoSoft® plates with a substrate stiffness of 2 kPa were used to culture fibroblasts and compare to conventional tissue culture on 2D plastic (which has a stiffness of ~3 Gp).

RatCol® collagen was used to coat the CytoSoft® plates.

Abstract:

Our study reveals an extensive dysregulation of prostanoid biosynthesis and signalling pathways in IPF-derived fibroblasts which are only partially abrogated by culture in soft microenvironments.
