PhotoChitosan Photocrosslinking Study

The following experiment was conducted to determine the viscoelastic behavior of PhotoChitosan® (methacrylated Chitosan) during photocrosslinking at concentrations of 1% and 1.5%, and varying concentrations of LAP photoinitiator (0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%).
The viscoelastic graphs of PhotoChitosan® can be seen in Figure 1. Changes in concentration can lead to significant changes in hydrogel stiffness and rate of crosslinking.
